How to promote Workout Lock

Updated 2026

Workout Lock helps iPhone users keep distracting apps blocked while they work out. Your job as a partner is to show the use case accurately, explain the offer, and make the referral-code steps easy to follow.

Start with a small, useful content test. You do not need to turn every post into an advertisement.

1. Understand who the app suits

Focus on people who get distracted by their phones during workouts. Possible contexts include training before work, fitting a session into a busy day, or repeatedly scrolling between sets.

Those contexts are content angles to test, not proof that everyone in those groups wants a paid app. Ask what your audience currently does and demonstrate the app for people whose problem matches it.

Workout Lock is not a workout-program marketplace, a coaching service, or an Android app. Avoid claims about features you have not verified.

2. Use your partner resources

Approved partners receive free app access for testing and content creation, a personal link and code, and a partner kit with logos, product screenshots, screen recordings, approved descriptions, and example ideas.

Try the relevant flow before recommending it. Use your own footage or supplied assets. Free testing access does not authorize the use of another creator's content, nor does it create a paid sponsorship or UGC contract.

3. Make one clear demonstration

Show choosing distractions, selecting a workout mode, reviewing the setup, and starting a session. Then show a selected distracting app being blocked.

Use a mode that fits the example: Timed for a duration-led demonstration, Checklist for a completion sequence, or Guided for exercise-and-rest structure.

Describe actual behavior. Do not promise guaranteed time savings, fitness results, or an impossible-to-bypass block. If you compare your own workouts, explain the context and avoid presenting one session as a result everyone should expect.

4. Explain the code-entry flow

Your personal link directs people to the App Store. Your code determines commission attribution. A click on the link does not apply the code.

Show these steps on screen:

  1. Open Workout Lock's paywall.
  2. Tap Referral code.
  3. Enter your partner code in the popup and apply it.
  4. Review the discounted Annual subscription.
  5. Continue purchasing.

The offer is available only to new subscribers. It provides about 20% off the first annual period and then renews at the regular annual price. Use the actual offer and renewal prices displayed by the app. Do not advertise a trial unless its applicable terms have been confirmed.

A qualifying purchase must occur within 30 days after code validation. Once purchased, the attribution is retained for that transaction.

The 70% off Annual discounts on the Instagram and TikTok promo pages are separate Apple offer codes. Those codes and a partner referral code cannot be used together.

5. Understand your commission

You earn 50% of Workout Lock's net proceeds from qualifying purchases. Only the initial first-year Annual purchase through the Partner offer qualifies. Renewals, free use, Weekly, Monthly, and Lifetime Access do not.

Net proceeds are calculated after Apple's commission, Apple-withheld taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. Company overhead such as salaries, hosting, or marketing is not deducted.

Hypothetical example: €34 of net proceeds produces €17 of partner commission. Actual transaction amounts vary. Refunds and reversals cancel or deduct the associated commission.

6. Check the dashboard after purchase verification

Referred purchases appear when the backend verifies the Apple transaction. Reporting does not depend on waiting for App Store campaign analytics.

Dashboard item Meaning
Referred purchase A qualifying purchase attributed to your code
Pending earnings Commission within the 30-day hold
Confirmed earnings Commission that has cleared the hold, subject to reversals
Payouts Payments recorded as paid

Payouts run monthly with a €50 minimum, by PayPal or Wise. An available balance is not the same as a completed payout.

7. Follow the promotion rules

Organic social posts, websites, blogs, newsletters, communities, videos, podcasts, and relevant client recommendations are allowed. Paid advertising requires approval before launch.

Do not use spam, unsolicited mass messaging, misleading claims, self-referrals, fake purchases, coupon or deal-site posting, trademark or brand-keyword search ads, or impersonation. Use only content you own or have permission to use.

Explain that you earn commission from qualifying purchases.[1] Follow the applicable disclosure settings on your publishing platform.

8. Improve the next test using real questions

Note the content angle, production time, audience questions, and verified purchases. If viewers do not understand the product, improve the demonstration. If they miss the code field, show the popup. If purchases stay low, examine audience fit and price rather than assuming more reach will solve it.

Can a subscriber use my code for a renewal?

The partner offer is for new subscribers, and renewals do not earn commission.

Can I earn on my own purchase?

No. Self-referrals are prohibited.

Can I apply before I have a large following?

Yes. There is no follower minimum, but you need relevant distribution, must be 18 or older, and must operate in a supported location.
