Fitness affiliate marketing without a website
Updated 2026
You do not need your own website to apply to Workout Lock's Partner Program. You do need a relevant way to reach prospective users.
A fitness account, training clients, a newsletter, a gym community, or a YouTube channel can provide that distribution. Removing the website does not remove the need for trust, useful content, or a clear purchase journey. Approval and small-account testing are covered in fitness affiliate programs for small creators.
Choose a channel you can genuinely serve
| Channel | Useful recommendation | What to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Social content | A gym distraction demonstration with code instructions. See TikTok and Instagram | Unrelated discount posts and copied footage |
| YouTube | A setup tutorial and honest fit explanation. See fitness affiliate marketing on YouTube | Hiding the code in a long description |
| Opt-in newsletter | Practical workout preparation advice | Sending promotions to scraped addresses |
| Training clients | An optional recommendation for a specific difficulty | Making a purchase feel necessary for coaching |
| Managed community | A permitted tutorial answering member questions. See how to monetize a fitness community | Mass unsolicited messages |
Workout Lock permits these organic channels. It prohibits spam, misleading claims, self-referrals, fake purchases, coupon or deal-site posting, trademark or brand-keyword search ads, and impersonation. Paid advertising requires approval.
A link and a code do different jobs
Partners receive a personal link such as workoutlock.app/p/liv, which redirects to the App Store, and a code such as LIV.
The link helps someone find the app. The code determines commission. An install through the link does not automatically create a qualifying referral.
Explain the full sequence: install on an iPhone, tap Referral code at the paywall, enter and apply the code, then review and purchase the discounted Annual subscription. The attribution window runs for 30 days after code validation. The same steps are written out in how to promote Workout Lock.
Eligible customers are new subscribers. They receive about 20% off their first annual period. The subscription then renews at the regular annual price. Actual storefront prices appear in the app. Weekly, Monthly, and Lifetime Access purchases do not earn commission.
Make the recommendation understandable in its original placement
Without a website, your post or conversation carries more of the explanation. Include what the app does, who it is for, the code-entry instructions, and the commercial relationship.
A useful short recommendation could be: “Workout Lock blocks selected distracting apps during your workout. If you are a new subscriber, enter MYCODE through Referral code at the paywall before purchasing Annual to see the partner offer. I earn commission on qualifying purchases.”
Replace MYCODE with your approved code and include first-year and renewal details alongside the offer. Verify that any link you tell people to tap works in that placement. Keep a reusable screenshot of code entry ready for people who ask.
Explain your affiliate relationship clearly.[1] Do not describe a recommendation as independent if you receive commission or free testing access.
What you can earn
Workout Lock pays approved partners 50% of net proceeds from qualifying first-year Annual purchases through the Partner offer. Net proceeds reflect Apple deductions, withheld taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. Company overhead is not deducted.
There is no commission on renewals, free use, or other plans. The dashboard shows referred purchases, pending and confirmed earnings, and payouts. Earnings remain pending for 30 days. Monthly payouts have a €50 minimum, by PayPal or Wise.
Before investing heavily, compare confirmed earnings with content and support time. Not paying for a website does not mean the channel has no cost.
When a website becomes useful
A website can later provide searchable tutorials, longer explanations, and a central resource you control. It is worth building when it improves distribution or customer understanding, rather than simply because affiliate marketing advice says everyone needs one.
Start with the channel where you already reach suitable people. If you have no audience, clients, community, or other distribution, develop that first. Workout Lock would not normally approve an applicant who has nobody relevant to reach.
Can I apply as a trainer with no social following?
Yes. Relevant client distribution can be considered. Approval still depends on program eligibility. Applicants must be 18 or older and operate where the app and partner payment are supported.
Can I post my code on coupon sites?
No. Workout Lock prohibits coupon and deal-site posting.
Do I need a large account?
There is no follower minimum. Audience fit and a credible promotional method still matter.
