Gym affiliate programs: equipment, apps, and membership partnerships

Updated 2026

"Gym affiliate program" can mean several different arrangements. A gym creator may want products to recommend, a gym member may want a referral reward, and a gym owner may want extra revenue from members. Those are different programs.

Start with the audience you can reach and the purchase they are considering.

Equipment programs with published terms

Program Published rate Referral window Application consideration Practical drawback
Titan Fitness 5% 30 days Approved websites and creators Delivery fit and credible equipment content are essential
Rogue Fitness 4% of eligible item price Duration not established on reviewed FAQ FAQ specifies an updated website and application review Excluded products, shipping, taxes, and returned items affect the commission base

A large equipment basket does not make a rack review profitable. If you buy equipment specifically for content, include the purchase, transport, setup, filming, and editing in your economics. A useful review should describe space requirements, constraints, and who should choose a simpler alternative.

Membership referrals are not automatically affiliate income

A gym may reward members with credit, free time, or other perks. Such a scheme may have a limited number of referrals and may not permit commercial promotion. Confirm the rules before you publish a coupon as an open cash program.

ISSA publishes an ambassador application for people who hold its certification. The page describes possible flat-fee content deals or affiliate commissions, and it says perks are confirmed in the agreement. That is not a gym member-referral scheme.[3] A gifted membership or product can still be a material connection. US FTC guidance says to disclose those relationships where people see the recommendation. The guidance is written for the United States, and other local rules can also apply.[6] ClassPass publishes a separate affiliate route with compensation for qualifying signups; amounts vary.[4]

If a local gym wants repeated videos, appearances, or campaign work, negotiate the deliverables and payment. A membership perk is not a fee for that work. See fitness ambassador programs for the distinction.

Apps for gym-focused content

Workout logs, training tools, and distraction blockers can appear naturally in workout routines. They do not need physical delivery, but they still need an eligible buyer and a working referral flow.

Hevy's public program offers 25% on new subscriptions and renewals.[5] That product suits logging demonstrations. Workout Lock serves a different problem: blocking distracting apps during workouts to help people finish on time.

Compare workout app affiliate programs by purpose before deciding which app fits your audience. An existing logger user may still have a distraction problem. That still does not prove they will buy another subscription.

For gym owners: protect the member relationship

Start with products members already ask about. Put an optional recommendation in a useful guide or a relevant conversation. Keep a non-affiliate option where appropriate, and explain your commercial interest.

Professional software is a different opportunity: a gym owner might recommend it to other operators. Members who just want to train are usually the wrong audience for tools used to run a coaching business. Trainers making client recommendations have a related decision, covered in affiliate programs for personal trainers.

Track the time required to answer product questions and handle partner administration. A few commissions can be poor economics if staff spend hours supporting a product they do not control.

Workout Lock Partner Program

Workout Lock is an iOS app designed to help people finish workouts on time by blocking distracting apps during workouts. It may fit lunch-break training, busy-parent routines, and content showing how phone use derails a session.

Approved partners earn 50% of Workout Lock's net proceeds from the qualifying purchase, subject to terms. Net proceeds are what remains after Apple's commission, taxes withheld by Apple, and refunds or chargebacks. Commission applies to the first annual subscription bought through the Partner offer. Renewals do not earn commission. The customer enters the partner code in the app. The code is valid for 30 days, and a purchase in that window stays attributed. Payouts are monthly after a 30-day hold, with a €50 minimum. Demonstrate the app's actual behavior and keep recommendations specific. A download by itself is not a commissioned sale, and the program does not include a paid gym integration.

FAQs

Can gym owners join creator affiliate programs?

Some accept businesses as well as creators, but approval and permitted promotion differ. Confirm eligibility. Member access does not by itself qualify you.

Is the highest equipment commission the best option?

No. Local availability, product usefulness, price, qualifying transactions, and content costs can outweigh the percentage.

Can I combine equipment and app promotions?

If contracts allow it. Keep each recommendation attached to a real need, and avoid presenting several unrelated products in every routine.
